Juan-Dola Washington passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 in Tulsa.
Juan-Dola was born in Tulsa, OK on July 17, 1941 to Dorothy (Gilford) and Otis Washington.
She was the first African American to graduate from Central High School.
Juan-Dola moved to California after high school and worked in the oil industry. Eventually moved back to Tulsa. She worked in the University of Tulsa's College of Law; Tulsa Metropolitan Ministries; and Central High School. She retired from Central High School in 2013.
Juan-Dola was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Sherwood O. Washington.
She is survived by her sisters: Donna Arrington (Rick); Joyce Baylor; Robin Chandler (James); Debra Smith and host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Crown Hill Cemetery, Tulsa.
