Jozsef Tibor Szlavy age 72 passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jozsef was born July 15, 1939 in Hungary to Jozsef Tibor Szlavy and Elizabeth Traun. He married Catherine Ann on September 13, 1979. He worked for General Motors Corporation as a tool and die maker for sixteen years. Jozsef loved to go fishing; spending time with his family at his house; playing poker, going to the beach or just being outdoors, and traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents: Jozsef and Elizabeth Szlavy. Jozsef is survived by his wife, Catherine Ann Szlavy of Moore, Oklahoma, his son Tibor Szlavy and his wife, Alaina of Kiefer, Oklahoma, his daughters Stephanie Walters and her husband Chris of Jenks, Oklahoma, Carina Forsman Berglund and her husband Jonny of Sweden his brother Tibor Szlavy of Germany and four grandsons, Evan Szlavy of Jenks Olof, Oscar, and Gustav. A Rosary will be held 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Holy Family Cathedral in Tulsa. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2011 at Holy Family Cathedral. Reverend Van Nguyen will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C. Schaudt of Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service & Cremation Care.
