Joy Ann Ebert

Joy Ann Ebert, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the age of 77. She was born May 30, 1935 to Jim and Gertrude (Fuller) Newman in Weleetka, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Preston Assembly of God Church and a lifetime member of the ASCPA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Gertrude Newman; son, Clint DeArmond; two brothers and one sister. Survivors include her two children, Martie Rodriquez and husband, Ric of Sapulpa and David DeArmond and wife, Theresa of Apachee Junction, Arizona; one sister, Sally Wasson of Tulsa; one brother, James Newman of Weleetka; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Weleetka with Reverend Chip Howington and Reverend Dick Knox officiating. Pallbearers will be Brian Chiesa, James Newman, Jr., James Dooly, Tommy Dooly, Adam Dooly and Joe Cox. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home 220 S. Alabama Okmulgee, OK 74447 for a monument for Mrs. Ebert.
