Joseph Harry Volpe

October 31, 1943 — April 23, 2014

Joseph Harry Volpe age 70 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Joe was born October 31, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Joe graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School with the Class of 1962 in Philadelphia. He attended Temple University and Mercer College in New Jersey.  Joe married Lynda Gail Hemphill on February 25, 1967.  Joe's total military service was 37 years; serving in the New Jersey Army National Guard Reserve, and his remaining years he worked as a SGT First Class for United States Military Oklahoma National Guard.   He graduated from SGT Major Academy in 1997.  Joe was an active member of All Saints Anglican Cathedral for twenty-six years.  He served as Senior and Junior Wardens and as a Vestry member.  He also served as a Southwest Diocese Committee member. 

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Harry Volpe.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda of Broken Arrow, his mother, Janette (Montgomery) Volpe of Delran, New Jersey, his son, Jeff Volpe and his wife, Brenda of Lakeville, MN, his son, Curt Volpe and his wife, Stephanie of Olathe, Kansas, his daughter, Jill Nolen and her husband, Bryan of Broken Arrow, his loving four grandchildren, Madison, Alexander, Mia and Nicholas, his sister-in-law, Lora Hemphill, other family members, numerous friends and acquaintances.

Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at All Saints Anglican Church, 4040 East 91st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74137.  Bishop Frederick G. Morrison will officiate.

Memorial donations can be made to All Saints Anglican Cathedral at the above address.
