Joseph Edward Parise, Sr. age 74 passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013 at his Sand Springs residence. Joseph was born May 26, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York to Louis and Helen Parise. For 25 years he owned the Avalon Steakhouse. He worked as a carpenter, was a skilled artist and a NY Mets fan. Joe also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Helen Parise, his brother Carl Parise, his sister, Carol Houghton, his sister, Gina Davis, his nephew, Christopher Angora and his niece, Doreen Holt. He is survived by his son, Joseph Parise, Jr. of Gastonia, North Carolina, his son, Matthew Parise of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, his daughter, Samatha J. Baker of Glenpool, Oklahoma, his daughter, Kimberly Boyd of Tulsa, Oklahoma, his brother, Robert Parise, his sister, Marlene Digennaro, his brother, Louie Parise, his six grandchildren and one great grandchild along with other family members and friends. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 7, 2013 at Christchurch, 3 S. 41st W. Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Pastor Tony Harper and Pastor Joe Parise, Jr. will officiate.
