Johnny E. Sanders

Johnny E. (John) Sanders, a resident of Henryetta, was born on June 12, 1933 in Beggs, OK to Lenora Heller and Clyde Joseph Sanders. He passed away on January 24, 2010 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 76 years old. He was married to Patricia L. Howard in Ardmore on December 17, 1955. Johnny was in the United States Air Force for 20 years and is a Veteran of the Vietnam War where he was stationed in Thailand. He retired from there as a Staff Sergeant. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Sanders of the home; Sons Glenn Sanders of Henryetta, James Sanders of Olathe, Kansas; Daughters Patricia Murry of Henryetta, and Tina McKinley of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. John is preceded in death by his son, Johnny E. Sanders, Jr. on June 10, 1976. Memorial Services are scheduled for Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 2:00pm at the Shurden Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Audie Sweeney officiating.
