John W. Walker age 94 passed away Monday, May 21, 2012 at Claremore Veterans Center in Claremore, Oklahoma. John was born July 22, 1917 in Globe, Arizona to Andrew Jackson Walker and Marie (Payden) Walker. He grew up in Arizona and graduated from high school in that area. He served in the United States Army Air Corp from April 13, 1942 until January 9, 1946 during World War II and was honorably discharged. John married the love of his life, Flora E. Eyestone on January 30, 1943 in Kingman, Arizona. John worked in the banking industry at Cherry Creek National Bank in Denver, Colorado as a Mortgage and Loan Officer for thirty years. John and his wife, Flora moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in August of 2005 and lived at University Village. John enjoyed photography and traveling. John was preceded in death by his parents: Andrew and Marie Walker, his brother Dale Walker and his wife, Lorene and his loving wife, Flora who passed away June 15, 2006. He is survived by his son David Walker and his wife Kay of Jonesboro, Georgia, his two daughters, Helen Konowitz of San Anselmo, California, Esther Fellows and her husband, Jim of Mounds, Oklahoma, along with seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2012 at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel. Dr. Ted Kersh from South Tulsa Baptist Church will officiate. Immediately following his funeral, Mr. Walker will be honored with a military burial at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C.
