John Lee Oliver

John Lee Oliver, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the age of 91. He was born March 9, 1921 to John Lee Oliver, Sr. and Faye (Gregory) Oliver in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a member of the Oak Grove Pentecostal Church in Edna. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Faye Oliver and sister, Margie. He is survived by his loving wife, Ora LaDon Bryant Oliver of the home; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 13, 2012 at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee with Reverend Leon Barnhart officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 12th from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
