John Landis Ensing, Jr, age 52, of Jenks, Oklahoma passed away Saturday,
March 18, 2017 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
John was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 30, 1964 to the late Mary Louise (Jones) Ensing and John Landis Ensing, Sr.
John is preceded in death by his parents; Mary and John Ensing, Sr., and his older brother; Garry Ensing.
John is survived by his wife; Kim Ensing of the home, children; Jeff Ensing, Trey Ensing, Jason Ensing, Samantha Cotterman, sisters; Kathy Ensing - Anderson, Maribeth Ensing-Ross and her husband Steve, nephew; Mike Anderson and his wife Shawn, niece; Rachael Anderson; great-nieces; Mackenzie Anderson, Gabby Wood, and great-nephew; Wyatt Anderson.
He married Kim Ann (Rude) Ensing, on January 11, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. John attended Jenks High School and graduated in 1983. He was member of the Jenks marching band and a boy scout in high school. After graduation, John worked for Conway Freight as a truck driver for 25 years. He had many accomplishments during his employment, that included; safety awards, the million miles award, and the most important, the integrity award.
John had several hobbies, but his favorite was watching OU and Jenks Trojans football. A highlight for John included the time he and his son, Jason were able to go onto the Gaylord Family Memorial Stadium during an OU game. He also loved to fish, ride his motorcycle and delivering toys during the annual toy run that provides children with Christmas gifts. When his children were small, he helped coach their soccer team for several years. John was also an active member of Destiny Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Friends are invited to call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service & Cremation Care Centers, 5757 S. Memorial Drive Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Mike Goolsbay will officiate.
