Joe Wayne Kinsey was a man who lived for his family. He loved his wife, Terrie Kinsey. He loved his four sons, Joshua, Ethan, Noah, and Adam. But it was his grandchildren that gave him the most joy in life: Leeann Kinsey, Kyler Kinsey, Makenna Kinsey, and Connor Kinsey. The family often told him he was “born to be a grandfather,” and he would just smile and agree.
He was born at the Blackwood-Mims Clinic and Hospital in Comanche, Texas on July 2, 1956, to D.D. and Thelma R. Kinsey. Joe went to school in Sidney, TX, graduating in 1974. From Sidney, he went to the Texas State Technical Institute in Sweetwater, TX, earning a 2-year Certificate in Radio and Television Repair.
Joe is survived by his wife, Terrie, his sons: Joshua Kaukl and wife Nora, of Columbus, Ohio; Ethan Kinsey and wife Jackie, and their son Connor, of Rockwall, TX; Noah Kinsey and wife Moriah, and their children Kyler and Makenna, of Tulsa, OK; Adam Kinsey and wife Christine, and their daughter Leeann, of Tulsa, OK. He is also survived by his brother, Mack Kinsey, wife Donna and their daughter Samantha, of Pitkin, LA, and a step-brother Tommy Stewart of Comanche, TX.
Joe is preceded in death by his father, Dorothy Darden (D.D.) Kinsey, his mother, Thelma Ruth Graham Kinsey, his step-mother Billie Kinsey, and his sister, Faye Kinsey Williams.
An informal graveside service will be held February 4, 2017 at Proctor Cemetery, in Proctor, TX at 2pm. In lieu of flowers or cards, the family requests that donations be made in Joe’s name to Seasons Hospice, 6532 E. 71st Street, Suite 101, Tulsa, OK 74133.
