Joe T Sawvel

Joe Ted Sawvel, age 82, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed away  Tuesday, February 16, 2021. Joe was born on March 20, 1938, in Grove, Oklahoma to James Michael and Hazel Armeta (Drake) Sawvel. 

He honorably served his country in the United States Army, and later worked as an Expediter for McDonnell Douglas.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Norman Sawvel, TJ Sawvel, JD Sawvel, Charles Sawvel, Elmo Sawvel, Margaret Matlock, Virginia Smith, and Barbara Crisler; and one great-grandchild, Mason Fry.

Survivors include a sister, Juanita Woodhouse; brother, Jim Sawvel; daughter, Anita Restine of Stroud, Oklahoma, and husband Joe, their children Justin and Danielle Martin (Landon Martin and Kennedy Martin), and Megan Baker and Brett Fry (Lily Albert); daughter, Patricia Stanworth of Mannford, Oklahoma, and husband David, their children Chris Chris Sawvel and Deb (Rachel Ford, Christopher Sawvel, Joseph Sawvel, Caleb Sawvel, Destiny Sawvel, and Caitlyn Sawvel), Amber and Brad Brown (Bailey Brown, Ava Brown, and Chelsea Brown), and Aaron Stanworth; Son, Dennis Sawvel, of Owasso, Oklahoma, and wife Lorena Ibarra, their children, Ashley and Phil Hubbard (Ethan Hubbard, Gage Hubbard, and Kaylem Hubbard), Melissa and John Owen (Taylor Owen and Shyla Owen), Brian Sawvel, Kristy Sawvel, Kelly Sawvel, Kevin Sawvel; and son, Allen Sawvel, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and wife Jennifer, with their son Michael. 

Funeral services will be at 9:00 AM, on Monday, February 22, 2021, at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Chapel with Pastor Brandon McCombs officiating. Burial with military honors will take place at 11:00 AM, on Monday, at the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery with Chris Sawvel, Justin Martin, Brian Sawvel, Aaron Stanworth, Brett Fry, John Owen, Joe Restine, and Brad Brown serving as casket bearers.
