Joe Berry King, Jr., a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the age of 65. He was born May 5, 1946 to Joe Berry King, Sr. and Lillian (Lloyd) King in Monterey, California. Joe served in the United States Army National Guard. He was a member of the Nuyaka Baptist Church and he loved coon hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Survivors include his five children, Jeff King and wife, Joeann of Okmulgee; Jason King and wife, Jessica of Oklahoma City, Josh King and wife Carrie of Hoffman, Sarah King of Hoffman and Katie King of Hoffman; one brother, Jack King of Minnesota; two sisters, Julie and Karen of California; nine grandchildren, Kelley Allsup, Tyler King, Whitney King, Joey Anguiano, Kenzie King, Chloe King, Kami King, Connor King and Cooper King and one great grandchild, Teagan Allsup. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Dewar First Baptist Church with Brother Jack Vance officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Morris Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Tyler King, Michael King, John Long, Phil Radebaugh, Tim Radebaugh and Robby King. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
