Joan Lena Ford

JOAN LENA (LEHMANN) FORD was born on August 5, 1936 in Lawrence, KS. She
Died May 21, 2022 in Tulsa, OK at the Clarehouse. She was 85 years old.

Her childhood memories were from Lecompton, KS. Soon after the death of her mother, she was placed in foster homes around Kansas. Graduated High School from Minneapolis, KS. She went to McPherson College (Kansas) and then on to Bethany School of Nursing (Oklahoma). In 1960 she became a RN. Joan also married Bernard Ford that same year. She worked as a Nurse in Lawrence, at Bethany Hospital (Kansas City, KS), and Shawnee Mission Hospital (Overland Park, KS.).

She was a member of Breakpointe Community Church in Overland Park, KS. and was always involved there serving in various ways, especially in children's ministry and hospitality ministry.

She was preceded in death by her parents Cletus Chris Hector Lehmann, Esther Rose (Murphy) Lehmann, her brother Cletus Lehmann and her sister Thelma Seddon. She leaves behind her husband Bernard Ford, sister Georgia Oehrle, brother Franklin Lehmann, two daughters - Sandy Mueller (Mark) of Tulsa, Shari Ludwig(John) of Olathe, two sons - David Ford (Michelle) of Applegate, MI. Brian Ford (Nancy) of Kansas City. Seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren
