Jimmy Wayne Smith

Jimmy W. Smith, age 71, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at his residence in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Jimmy was born in Gore, OK on August 1, 1947 to Walter Lee Smith and Dora Jane Smith (Green) where he spent most of his childhood until going into the military in June of 1965. He served in the Army and fought in Korea. After returning home he served another 4 years in the Army, and he worked as a truck driver for most of his life, driving for many different companies.

He was also preceded in death by Walter Smith, father and Dora Smith mother, and two brothers, Bobby Smith and Jerry Smith and by Nancy Faye Smith.

He is survived by sisters Dorris Rossen and Linda Tamaes, son Aaron Smith, with three grand daughters, Alora Howard, Adrianna Smith, and Athena Smith, and great grand children Arianna Howard and Aria Howard, and step-daughter Sherita Nipper, and grandsons Chance Morgan and Jordon Nipper, and great-grand children Aubrey Morgan and Trent Morgan.

A visitation for Jimmy will be held at Schaudt Funeral Service in Okmulgee on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 12:00 PM with the funeral to follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Morris Cemetery.
