Jimmy Joe Bennett

A funeral service honoring and remembering the life of Jimmy Joe Bennett will be held 10:00am Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel. Jimmy passed away at his home Sunday, February 4, 2018 with his family by his side. He was 57.

Jimmy was born September 20, 1960 in Pittsburg, Kansas to Ruth Mary (Tony) Orr and Bobby Jo Bennett.

On June 7, 1991 he married the love of his life, Debra Lou (Coe) Bennett in Miami, Oklahoma.

Jimmy loved to be outdoors. You could often find him in the woods hunting or on the lake fishing. He also had an interest in sports. He has served as a baseball coach and an umpire which he had done for over the past 20 years. Jimmy was a huge Oklahoma University fan and loved cheering them on.

He was employed at Base Cold Storage as a supervisor.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Graves.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Debra (Coe) Bennett; parents, Ruth Orr and her husband, Dwight and Bobby Bennett; three sons, Jimmy Bennett, Doug Bennett and his wife, Pam and Bryan Coe-Orr; three daughters, Tiffany Hobbs, Maddison Bennett and Alexis Hobbs; and grandchildren, Jaxon, James, Jared, Jonathon, Alyssa, Avah, Makenzie, Braydan, Bryson, Dayton and Colten. He also leaves two sisters, Jaylene Brown and her husband, Ron and Tammy Freeman and her husband, Floyd; one brother, Mark Shannon and his wife, Leslie and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held, Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service. Interment will immediately follow at Park Grove Cemetery, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
