Jimmy (Jim) Gordon Foster, 78, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 21, 2017.
He was born October 20, 1939 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Edna (Foster) Foster and Thomas Gordon Foster.
Jim attended Webster High School. After graduation he went on to serve our country in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965. During his time in the Air Force he escorted the King and Queen of Afghanistan.
He retired from Byron Jackson Pump as a Machinist.
In May of 1982, Jim married Patsy (Hemphill) Foster in Miami, Oklahoma.
He attended Word of Life Church in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
Jim enjoyed mowing his yard, fishing and singing. He was especially proud of his wood working skills. He always loved showing off his new projects. He will be remembered as an easy-going guy who loved his family.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Edna (Foster) Foster and Thomas Gordon Foster; three brothers, Bob Foster, Joe Foster, and Charles Foster; and one son, Steven Ray Fisher.
Surviving include his wife, Patsy (Hemphill) Foster, and six children; Jimmy Fisher and his wife, Kelly, Sheryl Johnson-Browning and her husband, Robert, Cheri Holland, Gary Fisher and his wife, Kathy, Douglas Foster, and Johnna Langston and her husband, Don. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren an d22 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on November 13, 2017 10 AM at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery; 1423 Cemetery Road Fort Gibson, OK 74434.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Jim’s name to Clarehouse; 7617 S Mingo Rd. Tulsa, OK 74133.
