Jerry Richard Goodale, died peacefully at home on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at the age of 71. He was born July 17, 1943, in Flushing, NY to Richard D. Goodale and Elois Wight Goodale. He graduated from Will Rogers High School, class of 1961 and married Lynn Kenyon on September 1, 1978, in Tulsa.
Jerry was a life member of the Sand Springs Elk’s Lodge. He served in many positions including Lodge Secretary, was a Past Exalted Ruler and a Vice President of the State Association. He worked at PSO for many years as a journeymen lineman, and retired from AAON, Incorporated. He liked to hunt and fish, but his lifelong passion was wood working and wood turning. Formidable Words with Friends opponent, and enjoyed following Professional Golf. Jerry had a great sense of humor, had compassion for others, and was a great hus- band and father. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; along with brother, Toby Goodale. Jerry is survived by his wife, Lynn, of 36 years; his son, Rich Goodale, wife Jaleh and children, Madison, Elizabeth, Matthew, Alexandra, and Andrew of Baltimore MD; daughter, Lauren VanWinkle, husband James and daughter, Amelia of Escondido, CA.; daughter, Amy Smallwood, husband Marc and daughter, Shelby of Diamond, MO; daughter, Joey Dixon, husband Rob and daughter, Rebecca, of Shawnee KS; sisters, Jo Chichester, Rogers and Judy Goodale, of Tulsa; brother, Glenn Goodale and wife, Tommie, of Broken Arrow; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honor his life will be announced at a later date. Final arrangements are being handled by Schaudt-Teel Funeral Service in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
