Jerry Leon Meyer, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the age of 78. Surrounded by his loving family, Jerry left this world as he had lived-surrounded by love.
Jerry was born on August 3, 1946, in Oklahoma City, OK, to parents Leo and Irene (Hardage) Meyer. He was a proud graduate of U.S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City. The day after graduating high school, Jerry married the love of his life, Linda Leger. Together, they shared 59 wonderful years of marriage, filled with love, laughter, and devotion.
Throughout his life, Jerry worked as an autobody mechanic, a profession he was deeply passionate about. He was known for his hard work, kind heart, and the ability to connect with anyone he met. He truly never met a stranger.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Linda Meyer; his daughter, Shelly Turner; and his son, Steven Meyer and his wife, June. He also leaves behind a proud legacy through his grandchildren, Cody Turner (Krystan), Jacob Turner (Jenny), Jessica Perry, Caitlyn Turner, Patrick Cook, Devin Meyer (Bethany), and Tiana Gibson (Dameon). Jerry was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren, whom he cherished dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Irene Meyer, but he leaves behind countless loving memories that will continue to inspire his family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Jubilee Christian Center, 12430 N 230 Rd, Okmulgee, Oklahoma, with Reverend Dale Litsey officiating. Burial services will follow at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Arlington Memory Gardens Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be Cody Turner, Jacob Turner, Devin Meyer, Dameon Crago, Steven Meyer, and Tanner Manns.
