Jene Hewitt

Jene Hewitt age 88 passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015 at Legend Senior Living in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Jene was born July 28, 1927 in Boulder, Colorado to Bryce Jesse Baker and Leona H. (Vandapool) McGannon. On April 2, 1950 she was baptized in Messiah Lutheran Church in Denver, Colorado and a few days later (April 6, 1950) she married Marvin R. Hewitt in the same church. Jene enjoyed playing solitaire and she was known to walk four miles a day at the mall. She also traveled extensively in her early years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leona and Bryce and her husband, Marvin on February 2, 2014.

Jene is survived by her daughters, Dona Jene Sherwood (Smith), Cynthia Kay Dorris, Catherine Kim Saunders, her grandchildren, Paula C. Smith, Andrea M. Drummond, Kelli L. Dorris, Kevin M. Saunders, Kathryn M. Saunders, her great grandchildren, Anna C. Longsdorf and Hewitt M. Longsdorf (Witt) along with other family members and friends.
