Jean Suzanne (Robinson) Bagwell, 73, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on January 31, 2022, at St. John Medical Center. Her family was by her side when she went to be with the Lord.
Suzanne was born on February 3, 1948, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to the late Doris Virginia (Renfro) and William "Bill" Thomas Robinson Jr. She was the oldest of five children.
Suzanne graduated from Duncan High School in 1966. She earned her cosmetology license and worked in a beauty shop for many years. Later in life she worked at a wedding chapel and then started her own catering business.
In 1974, Suzanne met John Bagwell at the Duncan Municipal Airport. It was not long before their love took off. The two were married in March of 1975. Suzanne and John were married for over 47 years and had three children, Monica, Shelly, and Jonathan. Suzanne treasured her husband and children and embraced every moment with them. She drove carpool, organized class parties, and worked all the fundraisers. She cooked family dinners, planned summer vacations, and knew were all the good sledding hills were. Birthdays and holidays were her favorite days. Suzanne especially loved her role as Mamew.
Suzanne served the Lord by serving others. She taught Sunday School, cooked church meals, and visited the sick. She laughed, cried, and prayed with probably everyone she has ever met. And everyone she met was instantly a friend.
Suzanne is survived by her husband, John Bagwell of Tulsa; daughter Monica Bagwell, her husband Bryan Walker, and grandsons Brant and Bryson of Miami, Oklahoma; daughter Dr. Shelly Sedberry and her husband Aaron of Galena, Kansas; son Dr. Jonathan Bagwell, his wife Ashley, and granddaughters Chandler and Harper of Wylie, Texas; brother Billy Robinson; sister Janet Cope, her husband Ricky, their two children and three grandchildren; brother Ted Robinson; brother Tom Robinson, his wife Judy, and their three children.
