Jayne Allen of Protection, Kansas entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, in Ashland, Kansas.
Jayne Elizabeth (Broadus) Allen was born at Whitlatch Hospital in Milan, Indiana on May 1, 1941, to John Martin Broadus and Mary Margaret (White) Broadus Hastings. She was a graduate with the high school class of 1959 in Rising Sun, Indiana. Jayne married Allen Ray Little November 21, 1962, at the United Methodist Church in Coldwater, Kansas. Though they divorced, they share their only daughter Raylene. Jayne remarried Daniel Carl Allen on August 22, 1977. After her marriage to Daniel, the couple moved to the Tulsa area. Jayne was employed by Saint Francis Hospitals as a nurse and occupational therapist from 1967 until her retirement in 1993 due to health issues. She had many artistic hobbies that she enjoyed such as reading, playing the piano, drawing, making arts and crafts. Jayne was a kind and compassionate person, who loved spending time with her family, especially, Raylene and Heather. After her health began to wane, she moved to Kansas so she could be near family. She was also very fond of her faithful kitty, Piper. Above all, she had a love for reading her Bible. She was a faithful member of the Mounds Assembly of God.
Jayne is preceded in death by her husband Dan Allen, parents; John Broadus and Mary Hastings, brother; Mike Broadus, brother-in-laws; Chester Smith and Perry Hichew.
She is survived by her daughter Raylene (Little) Howard and husband Danny Huck of Protection, Kansas, granddaughter; Amber Vieux and great-grandson Lennox of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, granddaughter; Heather Howard and great-grandsons Hayden, Jaxon, and Liam Embry of Protection, Kansas, sister; Helen Smith of Burlington Kentucky, brother; John (Joan) Broadus of Madison, Indiana, sister; Susan Hichew of Lyons, Illinois, sister-in-law; Carolyn Broadus of Upton, Kentucky; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on August 13, 2021, at the Oakwood Cemetery in Mounds, Oklahoma.
