Janice Wanell Flud

Janice Wanell Flud of Kiefer, OK, passed away at the age of 71 on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. Janice was born in Kansas City, Missouri on February 7, 1946 to Edith (Hines) and John Trask.

Janice spent her years working for USPS as a Rural Route Postal Carrier where after many years she retired. After retirement, Janice spent time enjoying many hobbies that brought joy and peace in her life such as crocheting, playing the piano for the nursing home, and watching the hummingbirds. She was an active member in the Glenpool Baptist Church since the early 1980's and loved playing the organ during worship. Most recently she called, Sapulpa First Baptist Church her church home. Janice was involved with Oklahoma Disaster Relief and was willing to go help those in need. Music was always a big part of her life, and she enjoyed singing with the Church Women of Oklahoma and in her church choir. Spending time with Rusty, going four wheeling and traveling in their fifth wheel was always a lot of fun. Doting on her grandchildren was something she did often. Playing cards, dice games, and discovering her family's genealogy were also some of her favorite pastimes. On Sundays, Janice enjoyed cooking and watching her Seattle Seahawks play.

Janice is preceded in death by her husband, Rusty Flud; and parents Edith and John Trask.

Janice is survived by her son Roger Flud of Glenpool, OK, daughter, Anita Stevens and husband Conan of Glenpool, OK, three sisters, Helen Kannady, of Jenks, OK, Cathy Causby, of IL, Cynthia Staw, of VA; three brothers, William Crook, of FL., Chester McCammon, of MO, John McCammon, of GA; grandchildren, Seth Stevens, Drake Stevens, Haley Stevens, Kayla Stevens, of Glenpool, OK, Alyvia Flud, Fracesca Flud, Jacob Flud, Jessica Lindsey, of Jenks, OK; great-grandchildren, Felix Stevens, Theo Hicks, Maverick Lindsey, Connor Lindsey, Seattle Lindsey, Axel Lindsey, Josie Lindsey, and Jett Sisemore.

Visitation will be at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service & Cremation Care Centers in Glenpool, OK. Service will be held 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at First Baptist Church-Sapulpa in Sapulpa, OK with Reverend Smokey Hurst officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
