Janice Clifton

Janice Sue Clifton brought joy to Grace Armbrister and Eugene Clifton when she entered the world on December 13, 1948, in Claremore Oklahoma. 

Jan graduated from Claremore High School in 1967. Soon after Jan moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she worked for St. Francis Hospital for 10 years. Jan started at American Airlines in December of 1979. In February of 2014 she retired with 35 years of dedicated service. 

After retirement Jan enjoyed picking up her grandchildren from school daily. Her weekends were spent going shopping and going out to eat with her best friend, Carolyn Roberts. 

Jan was preceded in death by her mother, Grace Wells; stepdad, Dan Wells; father, Cotton Clifton; grandmother, Della, Armbrister; and niece, Kim Nichols. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Stacey and Erica Gibbs; grandchildren, Jordan Journ'ee, and Ja'ceyon; bonus daughter, Vonjerita (Voni) Durant; bonus son, Garrett Hunt; sister, Chris Moore (Howard); nephews, David Nichols, Dustin Moore; nieces, Kaylee Woodard, Stephanie Cole, and numerous cousins and friends.

A celebration of Janice's life will be held 2:00pm, Friday, January 26, 2024 at Schaudt Funeral Service, 5757 South Memorial Drive, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145.
