James William Diggs

James William Diggs, affectionately known as "JD', age 70 passed away at his residence on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at his Glenpool residence surrounded by his loving family members.
James was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on March 2, 1938 to Theodore Roosevelt and Mattie (Jackson) Diggs. He worked as a janitor for Ford Motor Company until he retired in 2004. In his spare time he enjoyed working in the garage; spending time with his family members, attending his daughter's and son's sporting events; watching football and he was an avid Glenpool Warrior's fan. James attended Faith Church and was of the Freewill Baptist faith.
James was preceded in death by his parents: Theodore and Mattie Diggs; his brothers: William Marshall Diggs, Roderick Diggs; Jackson Barry Diggs and his sister: Algerta Abernathy.
He is survived by his wife: Annette Diggs of Glenpool and from this 27 year union, he is survived by his daughter: Nicole Diggs of Glenpool, Oklahoma and his son: Sharod Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma; he is also survived by his sons: Kenneth Diggs of San Francisco, California; Michael Diggs of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; Gary Allen of Netherlands; daughters: Emory Howell of Dallas, Texas, Denissa Diggs of Tulsa, Oklahoma along with seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren not to mention a host of family members and friends.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Saint Simeons Episcopal Home, 3701 N. Cincinnati Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma with Reverend Bill Holly officiating.
