James Robert Watkins

James Robert Watkins age 59 passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016 at his Sand Springs, Oklahoma residence surrounded by loving family members.

Jim was born on May 12, 1957 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Thomas Paul Watkins and Judith Juanita (Newton) Watkins. He graduated from Charles Page High School in Sand Springs with the Class of 1975. He worked as a trim carpenter in the construction industry for more than 25 years.

Jim was an avid outdoorsman – he loved to fish and hunt. His biggest thrill in life was sharing this love with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Judith Watkins.

Jim is survived by his sons, Bryan Watkins and his wife, Saunya of Drumright, Kevin Watkins of Sand Springs, Brandon Wilkins of Tulsa, his sister Debi Calico and her husband Chet of Broken Arrow, his brother, John Watkins of Sand Springs, his sister Kelley Dewey of Sperry, his sister Kathy Burcham and her husband, Bryan of Sand Springs, his uncle James R. Watkins and his wife, Judy of McKinney, Texas, eight grandchildren and one great grandson along with other family members, friends and acquaintances.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
