James Richard Lacey

James (Jim) Richard Lacey age 84 passed from this life to eternal l ife with the Lord Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Jack C. Montgomery VA Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Jim was born on November 27, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois to Hugh Edwin Lacey and Dorothy Eleanor (Pendleton) Lacey. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. Jim married the love of his life, Rachel Gray on December 24, 1957 in Quartzsite, AZ. He worked in the mining field as a heavy equipment operator for over forty years. Jim loved to work with his hands and tinker on many different things. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, wood carving and playing horseshoes. Jim was known for playing practical jokes and a man who loved to laugh. Everyone he met became his friend. Jim’s most important relationship was the one he had with the Lord. Jim was a faithful member of God's Powerhouse Christian Center for many years.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Dorothy Lacey; as well as his siblings, Lillian, Betty, Marie, John, and Newman.

He leaves many loving memories with his family, his loving wife, Rachel; five children: Metha, David, Richard, Veronica, and Darlene; brother, Raymond and his wife, Alice; sister, Jerri; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
