James Milton Jordan

James Milton Jordan (66), passed on to his Heavenly home on August 31, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born October 16, 1954, in Grayson, Kentucky to Ernest and Ruby Jordan. He married the love of his life June Brestle on December 22, 1973, in Martins Ferry, Ohio. Jim retired from EMSA on December 2, 2016, after 31 years serving as a Field Operations Supervisor, Support Services Manager and Chaplain. Jim joined the EMSA Family in 1985 following God's lead after serving as a Pastor in several different churches in Ohio. Anyone who knew Jim quickly learned of his love and passion for his family and woodworking and airplanes. He beamed with pride when speaking about his wife of almost 48 years, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Jim also shared a love of music with his family and was a talented drummer and guitarist. Employees at EMSA quickly learned that Jim was not just another Supervisor, he was Dad. He considered each of his employees as family. Jim had the honor of officiating many weddings and funerals for his employees but most importantly, listened to them and provided gentle guidance as they traversed the challenges that life presented. Jim's smile was infectious and comforting and his many facial expressions spoke to us without words.

Jim devoted his entire life to being a true servant of God. He learned the many lessons his Heavenly father provided about how to be a husband, father and leader in Christ and demonstrated his faithfulness his entire life. Jim allowed God to use him as a vessel to reach those in need even through Facebook. Jim frequently provided words of wisdom as God would lay it on his heart. As always, God's timing was perfect as it reached those who needed it the most.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest & Ruby Jordan, and Stepmother Marie Jordan; his adopted sister Brenda Logan Stevens; stepsister Sharon Hildebrand and grandson Isaac Andrew White.

Jim is survived by his wife June Jordan; son's James Aaron & Jeremiah Jordan (Jessica Jordan) of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; daughter Sarah White (Ken White) of Owasso, Oklahoma; grandchildren Jacob, Katie, Janae, Ryan, Mckenzie, Kylie, Blake (Sarah Rouse); great grandchildren Bentlee, Nova & Asher; two loving dogs Lily and Dolly and a host of very special friends and loved ones. He played a significant role in all our lives and will be truly missed. He dearly loved each member of his family and will always be there with them in spirit.

A celebration of life will be held at First Baptist Church Owasso on Wednesday September 8th at 1:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Clarehouse in lieu of flowers.
