James Michael Tiger

James Michael Tiger, Glenpool resident, age 71, passed away November 8, 2014 at home with his loved ones by his side.

He was born in Claremore, Oklahoma on September 24, 1943 to Johnson and Soma (Tulsa) Tiger. He attended Kellyville High School. James was a Sergeant in the United States Army. He had worked as a Greens Keeper on the golf course at Mohawk Park in Tulsa. He attended Glenpool Christian Church.

James married Shirley Mae Haynes on October 8, 2002. James loved his family above all and was a man you could depend on he loved helping everyone. He was a cut-up that was always smiling, who enjoyed crossword puzzles and word searches.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnson and Soma Tiger and two infant children.

James leaves many wonderful memories with his family; wife, Shirley Tiger; son, Michael Tiger of Sapulpa; daughter, Sherry Tiger of Sapulpa; step-sons, Rick Haynes of Glenpool, Randy Haynes of Tahlequah; step-daughters, Pam Latina of Joliet, IL, Sherrie Barnett of Glenpool, and Mary Foster of Tulsa, his brother: Easter Tiger of Glenpool; his uncle: July Tulsa, of Liberty Mounds. Eleven grandchildren, Thirteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild along with a host of other family.

Visitation will be held from 2:00pm - 7:00pm Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Schaudt's Funeral Service Chapel in Glenpool. A Traditional Native American wake will be 7:00pm Thursday, November 13, 2014 Schaudt's Funeral Service Chapel in Glenpool.

Funeral Service is Friday, 10:00am November 14, 2014, at Schaudt's Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Gary Volz officiating.

Casket bearers are Cody Haynes, Jesse Zamudio, Chris Hougland, Nick Tiger, Eric Reyes and Robert Haynes.
