James Lawrence Peaker age 59 passed away Monday, April 9, 2012 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. James was born in Bakersfield, California on May 13, 1952 to Edward Peaker and Edna Marie (Bolen) Peaker. He married Charletta Brooks on October 9, 1978. James worked as a Chef for various country clubs up until the time he retired. He was a foster parent for at least thirty children. James enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling and anything outdoors. He especially liked spending time with his grandchildren and his family members. James was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Edna Peaker and his brother, James Henry of McCurtain, Oklahoma who passed away March 21, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Charletta (Brooks) Peaker of Pryor, his son Rickey Peaker and his wife, Brooke of Glenpool, his son Jerry Peaker and his wife, Lindsey of Glenpool, his daughter Lorie McCall and her husband, Tony of Norman, his brother Jerry Peaker of Choutau, his sister Marilyn Mooney of Bakersfield, California, his sister Judy Forrister of Pryor, his brother Jackie Peaker of Bakersfield, California, his two grandchildren, Trey and Amelia of Glenpool, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members friends and acquaintances. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Schaudt's Funeral Service in Glenpool, Oklahoma. Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 13, 2012 at First Baptist Church, Jenks, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Bixby Cemetery, Bixby, Oklahoma. Pallbearers are Joseph Forrister, John Ingle, Keith Brewer, Frankie Blackwell, Tyler Mead, Daniel Craine, Chris Craine and Damien Lee. Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C.
