James Kolar, 81, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at home on August 12 surrounded by his loved ones after a difficult battle with lung cancer.
Jim was born in La Porte, Indiana where he had lived most of his life before moving to Oklahoma. He worked for the Coca Cola Company in La Porte for 25 years. At the time of his passing he was a volunteer at the Tulsa International Airport.
Jim is survived by Jeanne, his wife of 57 years and by his daughter Cindy (Christian) Brickman of Dallas, Texas, his sister-in-law Linnea Iantria of Springfield, Missouri, his brother-in-law Dino (Virginia) Iantria of South Bend, Indiana, nephew Michael (Angela) Iantria of Michigan City, Indiana and niece Christina (Michael) Brinker of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was predeceased by his beloved in-laws, Vega and Tony Iantria, and his uncle and aunt, John and Betty Kolar.
Jim loved to travel and was fortunate enough to see the world with his wife as well as with his daughter and son-in-law. He enjoyed visiting his sister-in-law Linnea and attending football games at Missouri State University, and he and his brother-in-law Dino were the perfect Santa and Elf at family Christmases.
