James Joseph Proszek

James Joseph Proszek age 89 passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.


Jim was born September 7, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to Rudolph and Marie Proszek. He graduated from St. Phillips High School with the Class of 1948. Jim married the love of his life, Jeaneene McCarthy, on October 18, 1952. Jim and his wife moved to the Tulsa area in 1974. Jim had a long career with American Airlines having worked for nearly forty two years before retiring in 1992. Jim enjoyed traveling but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Church of the Resurrection in Tulsa.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jeaneene, his son: Michael Alan Proszek and his grandson: James Ryan Proszek

He is survived by his son: James J. Proszek and his wife, Lisa of Tulsa; his daughter: Maureen A. Wheatley and her husband, Gibson of Kingwood, Texas; and his precious grandsons: James Michael Proszek and Joseph Proszek; Samuel and Matthew Wheatley, along with other family members, friends and acquaintances.


A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 1:00PM Thursday July 2nd at Church of the Resurrection, 4804 S. Fulton, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Reverend Daniel Campos will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
