James Henry Boswell

A celebration of life to remember and honor the life of James Henry Boswell will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 16, 2018 at Schaudt’s Funeral Service in Glenpool, Oklahoma.

James passed away peacefully after a long, hard battle with cancer on March 5, 2018. James was born on July 25, 1932 in Watonga, OK to the parents of Hooley Boswell and Mary Boswell (Sanders).

James married the love of his life Wanda Boswell on November 22, 1985 and has spent 32 years of marriage together since.

James was a devoted Christian man who loved witnessing for the lord. He would hand out bibles and pamphlets to anyone and everyone he could. James loved spending time in the outdoors, whether it was golfing or fishing. He enjoyed making the fishing lures he would use. James was an avid reader and enjoyed writing short stories and poems. James was a family man and loved and adored them dearly. If he could do anything in the world it would be to spend time with them. His family loved him very much and he will be deeply missed.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Hooley and Mary Boswell; brother, Harley Dean Boswell; sister, Shirley Huffman; granddaughter, Jessica Wickson and grandson Travis Hamilton

James is survived by his wife, Wanda Boswell; daughter, Patricia Hamilton and Renee Bearden; son, James Dennis Boswell, wife Cathy, Robert Nolan; grandchildren, Jeffrey Boswell, Veva Maisel, husband Joseph, Jamie Arroyo, husband Isaac, Rebecca Bradfield, husband Timothy, Joanna Carmichael, Joseph Carmichael, Andrea Gammill, Steaven Miller, Sharon Miller, Clyde Hamilton, Thomas Wiskson, Matthew Delcoure, Jerod Gammill, Laven Bruns, Melissa Mashburn and Crystal Jones; great-grandchildren, Addilynn Carmichael, Skylynn Carmichael, Klaiten Carmichael, Jay Gammill, Wyatt Wichson and Cherokee Santos.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Mac, Jerry and Robin Gammill for all their help and donations they have given to them from the beginning of James getting diagnosed with cancer.
