James Harvey Mccoy

James H. "Jim" McCoy passed away Tuesday morning December 8, 2015 in Tulsa, OK. Jim was born February 19, 1940 in Walters, OK, the son of Arthur and Wilma (Nored) McCoy. He grew up in the Ahpeatone Community and graduated from high school in Chattanooga in 1958. Jim studied Civil Engineering, attending Cameron College and earning his bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University and his master's degree from Stanford University. Jim worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for 31 years. He retired early in 1994 and spent many years traveling, playing golf, and bowling.

Jim was very proud of his family, particularly his nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother Pat McCoy and his wife Carol, and his sister Mary Hedrick and her husband Arnold.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Schaudt-Teel Funeral Service at Memorial Park, 5757 S. Memorial Drive in Tulsa. Visitation is scheduled for 2-4 PM on Sunday at the funeral home and a graveside ceremony 11 AM Monday at the Walters Cemetery in Walters, OK. www.tulsafuneral.com.
