James Harold Pelton

R.I.P. is what is typically written when someone passes from this earth. Our Dad, James (Jim) Pelton of Cleveland, OK is anything but typical, he was extraordinary and special. On Thursday July 7, 2016 dad was once again reunited with his wife of 57 years, our Mom, Marcha after a 4.5 year separation. They do not have time to Rest In Peace they will be too busy Living, Laughing & Loving, dancing the jitterbug and riding motorcycles. This is not the end of his life but the beginning of the second phase of the two of them together.

Jim Pelton, a.k.a. Grandpa, was born 80 years ago in Jamestown, NY. He is a proud American who was a Korean War Army veteran. He retired from American Airlines 20 years ago. Jim is survived by his three daughters Cindy, Robin and Debbie Jo; two grandchildren Jay and Sara and three great grandchildren Remington, Alivia and Finnegan. The family has been by his side for the last 7 months as he fought the effects of cancer. He passed at home where he was comfortable and safe, just as he wished.

There will be no formal funeral. If you would like to celebrate the rejoining of Jim and Marcha Pelton they have asked that you make a donation to your favorite charity, fly the American flag and/or go on a nice motorcycle ride in their honor.

The family would like to thank Encompass Home Health and Grace Hospice for the education, support and guidance. The knowledgeable professional staff provided exceptional attention to detail and allowed Dad to pass with dignity.
