James Glenwood Evans

James G. Evans, a Broken Arrow resident, passed away November 21, 2014 in Tulsa, OK, he was 88 years old.

James was born in Chanute, Kansas on January 21, 1926 to James and Eva (Cline) Evans. James served our country honorably as a USCG-Merchant Marine and the United States Marine Corps during WWII and was aboard a vessel that was torpedoed. He met the love of his life, Ms. Orene (Bray) they were married in Chanute, KS. and made their home in Broken Arrow for the past 35 years. He was an entrepreneur, James started his own successful oil business as a manufacturing representative and retired in 1979. James was a active member of Kentucky Colonel and the Men's Golf Association of Indian Springs Country Club.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Eva Evans.

He leaves many great memories with his family and a host of friends.

Private interment was at Elmwood Cemetery in Chanute, Kansas.
