James Francis Courtney

James "Jim" Francis Courtney passed away Friday, May 2, 2014 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa with his loving family by his side. Jim was 79 years old and born in Brooklyn, New York to Frank and Alice Courtney. He was raised in the Brooklyn area, graduated from St. John High School, and attended Brooklyn College. He married the love of his life, Lucille in 1959 at Holy Innocents Church in Brooklyn. He was a top sales representative throughout his career in the office furniture industry. Jim was known by many for his ready smile, and sense of humor. He was an avid fisherman and photographer.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife Lucille (whom he always called "Charlie"); daughter Laura Morse and her husband Aaron of Jenks, son James Thomas Courtney of Tulsa; and his loving dog Georgie-girl.
Services are scheduled for 2 PM Friday at the Schaudt-Teel Funeral Service Chapel.
