James Emmet Housewright

James Emmet Housewright, 79, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, passed away, Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at his residence, surrounded by his family.

James was born in Olney, Oklahoma, on January 11, 1938, to the late Edith (Luna) Housewight and Emmett A. Housewright.

James graduated from Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma and went on to earn his associate degree from Cal Tech University. James served honorably in the U.S. Air Force as a ‘Buck Sergeant’. He married Debora Marie (Lee) Housewright on February 14, 1984, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. James worked as an electrical engineer for Flight Safety and enjoyed a long career there, until his retirement, in 1989. His hobbies included; building homes and gardening. By far, his most precious times were spent with his loving wife and children.

James is preceded in death by his parents; Edith and Emmett Housewright; two brothers, and one sister.

He is survived by his Debora of the home, children; Peter Housewright, John Housewright and his wife Mieko, and Anna Marie Housewright, two brothers, and one sister.

Graveside Services will be held at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, 1423 Cemetery Road, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma 74434. Military Chaplain will officiate.
