James David Varner, age 71, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015 at his Jenks residence with loving family members by his side.
James was born on February 21, 1944 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Harold Varner and Lillian Mae (Byers) Varner. He attended Sapulpa High School. James married Joy Langston in Columbus, Kansas. He worked as a welder in the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union, Local 430. James enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be remembered as being a good husband and father.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
James is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Joy Loray Varner, his sons, Donald Varner and Dennis Varner, his daughter Dana Gower, his grandchildren Chasity, Desiere and Jordan, his great grandchildren, Isaiah and Journi along with sisters, Helen Eubanks and Pat Cumbey.
