James Bauswel Hampton

James Bauswel Hampton, age 64 passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at Muskogee Veterans Administration Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
On October 20, 1941 James Hampton was born in Daisy, Oklahoma to Otis Cole Hampton and Lenora (Estep) Hampton. He grew up in the State of Washington. James enlisted into the Navy and learned a trade by working in the boiler and engine rooms. Later on this experience helped him in various jobs. He worked as a welder, mechanic, worked in a glass factory and more recently he waxed boats.
James Hampton was an avid fisherman and liked to hunt. In his younger years he also liked to dance.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Lenora Hampton.
He is survived by his father: Otis Cole Hampton of Lamar, Arkansas; his son: James Darren Hampton and his wife, Regina of Bristow, Oklahoma; his daughter: Cindy West and her husband, Bobby of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; two brothers: Lawrence Hampton of Eufaula, Oklahoma, Bill Hampton of Erick, Oklahoma; one sister: Carolyn Adams and her husband, Gerald of Stafford, Oklahoma along with seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
