James Albert Wasson

James Albert Wasson age 81 passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 at Senior Suites in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family. James was born July 18, 1934 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Frank James Wasson and Katherine Imogene (Davis) Wasson. He graduated from Jenks High School in 1954. James married Mary "Sue" (Baker) on July 27, 1956 . He worked for Yuba Heat for twenty years and retired in 2004 from Jenks Public Schools after twenty five years.

James honorable served in the United States Marine Corps from 1954-1958. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals since the young age of fourteen. James was a member of River Oaks Christian Church in Jenks, Oklahoma.

James was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter: Debbie Wasson-Waters and his wife Sue on April 15, 2011.

James is survived by his son: Jimmy Wasson and his wife Mindy of Broken Arrow; his brother: Larry K Wasson of Sapulpa, his sister: Fern Thompson of Ceres, California, four grandsons: Michael Waters of Jenks, Oklahoma; Chad Wasson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Sean Wasson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Rider Matlock of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two granddaughters: Morgan Patterson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Taylor Matlock of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; great grand daughter: Lena Mckinnley Scott along with many nieces, nephews other family members and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 at River Oaks Christian Church, 300 N. Elm, Jenks, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Reverend Harold Phillips will officiate.
