James Alan Waltrip, 63, Tulsa, OK, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015, while in the company of family members, at St. Francis Hospital.
James was born in Tulsa, OK on April 9, 1952, a son of the late Francis (Kreisvelt) and Homer James Waltrip. He graduated from Webster High School and attended Devry.
He worked as a Welder at Cust-o-Fab. James had many hobbies and accomplishments; He was a licensed pilot, a certified S.C.U.B.A diver, a union carpenter, a professional welder, an amateur chemist.
He decided that one year of technical school was enough to be an electrical engineer and could do anything with his hands; he liked to go fast- so he built fast cars, motorcycles and airplanes. He was proud of his kids and grand kids.
Preceded in death by his parents, Homer Waltrip and Francis Kreisvelt; sister, Sharon Waltrip.
James leaves many loving memories with his family, Son, Jeremy Waltrip, Daughter-in-law, Heather Waltrip, Granddaughter, Allyson Waltrip, Granddaughter, Tatum Waltrip, Granddaughter, Amber Waltrip, Grandson, Logan Waltrip, Daughter, Denniece Ames, Son-in-law, Philip Ames, Grandson, Jacob Coyle, Grandson, Lukas Coyle, Granddaughter, Bethany Coyle, Grandson Isaac Ames; Sister, Karen Holmes; as well as many other loving family members and a host of friends.
Private family services will be held later.
