Jackie Ray Campbell passed away with loving family by his side on Thursday, May 7, 2020, at the age of 84 years.
Jackie was born on April 25, 1936 in Tulsa, OK to his parents, Henry and Eunice (Hillsberry) Campbell.
Jackie proudly served our country in the Army National Guard. Jackie worked as a Quality Control Inspector, and after work most days would be found on the golf course with Shawn Gibson, puting in quality time he greatly valued. Jack also enjoyed bowling and would always spend a Sunday afternoon watching football, a love for which he developed after playing on the undefeated Sand Springs team, where he was the smallest tackle on the team. Where Sundays were for football, Saturdays were for watching wrestling. If you asked him, all the rest of his time seemed like it dedicated to keeping his five acres mowed.
He would always talk about his time in New Zealand. He spent three years of his life living and travelling the country, only coming home every three months. He loved his time there. Jack was a simple man, that did not have much fluff and flash in his life. What you saw was what you got, he was just Jack, the man.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Eunice Campbell; his loving wife of 59 and half years, Mary Campbell; sisters, Betty and Geneva; brothers, Elvin and Harold; an uncle, Thurman, and aunt Lois; sisters-in-law, Judy Baker and Lois Campbell; brothers-in-law, Bob Allen and Leroy Snyder; and a nephew, Ronnie Allen.
Jackie leaves many loving memories with his family, his daughter Pamela Rae Lewison, and her husband Scott; grandchildren, Cory Lewison and Brandon Lewison; nephews, Nick Snyder, Mike Snyder, Chris Campbell, and Marty Campbell; nieces, Melissa, Kari Jo, Teresa, Penny, and Cindy; sister-in-law, Betty Allen; cousins, Robert Hillsberry, Jerry Martin, Jean Wallace, Jay Hillsberry, and Ronnie Hillsberry; life-long friends Georgeanne Busch, John Short, and his class of '55; along with many other loving relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 - 2:00 PM, on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service. The Funeral will be at 2:00 PM, on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service, 5757 South Memorial Drive, Tulsa, OK 74145.
