A funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Jack Wilbur Chandler will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Aspen Park Baptist Church. Jack passed away on October 18, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at St. Francis Hospital. He was 77.
Jack was born in Columbus, Ohio on June 4, 1941 to James Ranson Chandler and Nola E. Chandler (Roberts). Jack worked as the Head Custodian for Southwestern City Schools for 20 plus years before retiring in 2006 and moving to Oklahoma to be closer to family.
Jack married Rosita in Columbus, Ohio on December 3, 1966. Together they made many happy memories with their five children. Jack was an avid bowler in his younger years having bowled a 299 and was crowned All City Champion in Columbus, OH. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and could often be found tinkering around his home and in the garage, woodworking and working in his yard. Jack was a very active member in church.
Jack was proceeded in death by his parents, his loving wife Rosita and his siblings; Catherine, Jim, George, and Richard Chandler;
He is survived by his children; Liza (Paul) Mason, Gregory (Anja) Power, Regina (Robert) Gliem, Rita (Phil) Robinson, Rosita (Richard) Johnson; his siblings, Janice Bruce and Larry Chandler, 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends. Jack loved life and people and had a very happy-go-lucky attitude towards life and will be greatly missed by all.
A public viewing and visitation will be on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to, Aspen Park Baptist Church, 4400 S. Aspen Avenue, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74011.
