Jack H. Bird age 77 passed away Tuesday evening, October 30, 2012 at his Tulsa residence surrounded by his loving family members. Jack was born August 31, 1935 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Henry Bird and Alonkia (Nayfa) Bird. He graduated from Vernon High School and attended University of Texas. He married the love of his life, Connie (Thomas) Bird on June 22, 1958 in Vernon, Texas. This year they celebrated fifty-four years of married life and have lived in Tulsa for forty-six years. Jack and Connie own and operate Columbia Package Store located at 15th and Columbia, Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Alonkia Bird, two brothers, Eddie and Neimer and one sister Francis Todaro. Jack is survived by his wife, Connie Bird, his two sons, Hank Bird and his wife, Tamra of Tulsa, Clay Bird and his wife, Dacia of Tulsa along with six grandchildren, Tyler, Erin, Clay, Olivia, Isabella and Jack, other family members and a host of friends and acquaintances. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2012 First Presbyterian Church, 709 South Boston Avenue, Tulsa, OK with Dr. Jim Miller officiating. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C.
