Irene Elizabeth Elliott

Irene Elizabeth Elliott passed away Thursday afternoon, June 25, 2015 peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was born August 12, 1924 in Dialville, Texas, the daughter of Chester Durgan and Georgia (Nolley) Bell. Irene graduated from Dialville High School in the Class of 1942. She married R.C. Elliott September 23, 1944 in Dallas, Texas.

Irene was a devoted wife to R.C. and a caring mother to Michael and Randy. She was a caretaker for her son Michael for 59 years. Irene was a wonderful southern cook, enjoyed working in her yard, and loved her family dearly. The family moved to Tulsa from Houston in 1982. She was a longtime member of the Broken Arrow Church of Christ.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband R.C. Elliott in 1989; and four siblings; She is survived by her son Dr. Randolph Elliott, (Kathy) and her son Michael Elliott, grandchildren Lisa Ortiz, Lara Cole (Greg), Jeff Utter (Marci), Christy Utter (Sarah Vizza), Heather Brasel (Dustin), Kimberly Raines(Bryan); great grand children: Olivia and Sarah Ortiz, Preston, Georgia, and Tucker Cole, Braxton and Brinkli Utter, Hugh and Bode Raines; and her sister Mamie Childress.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Kathy Vining and Saint Francis Hospice for their excellent care, as well as Cookie Steffon, and Louisa , her caregiving angels. Arrangements have been entrusted to Schaudt-Teel Funeral Service at Memorial Park, 5757 S. Memorial Drive in Tulsa. A funeral ceremony is scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, Chaplain Alan McBroom officiating. A reception will follow in the Memorial Park Family Center.
