Ira “Duane” Kutcher passed away on December 31st, 2015 at the age of 83 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Duane was born in Macomb, Illinois on January 2nd, 1932 to Julian and Gladys Kutcher. He graduated from Western High School in Macomb. He served in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant in the Korean War and was a active member of the Elks Lodge, VFW and the Eastern Oklahoma Chapter of the Korean War Veterans Association.
Duane worked for Corning Glass in Muskogee as a mechanical engineer since 1969 before retiring in 1990. Duane will be remembered a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved art and enjoyed drawing cartoon characters. He was also a great musician and was the drummer in the Dave Sandee Band as well as the Army Drums and Fife band and several dance bands. Ira loved to play golf and travel and always loved a good joke.
Duane was preceded in death by his mother and father, and a brother: Jacob Kutcher, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Kutcher; a brother, Deon Kutcher; two daughters Debra West and Marla Epperson and husband Stan, grandchildren Stanley D. Epperson and wife Tanya, Eric Epperson and wife Alisia, Vanessa West and husband Michael Williams and Jessica Faltysek and husband Jarred along with great-grandchildren Miranda, Emma Grace, Shane, Logan, Michael and Kasen.
Services will be held on 2:00pm Tuesday, January 5th , 2016 at Believers Christian Fellowship at 810 E. Okmulgee Street in Muskogee, Oklahoma with interment at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. Memorial donations can be made to Clarehouse in Tulsa Oklahoma.
