Inagene Barnes

Inagene Barnes (formerly of Altus) age 84 passed away Friday, April 9, 2010 in Bixby, Oklahoma.
Inagene was born May 29, 1925 to Eugene Roy Dees and Bessie (Talbot) Dees near Altus, Oklahoma. She was married to James "Jake" Walter Barnes on February 28, 1941 and they remained married for sixty-five years until his death in 2006. Inagene was baptized in 1951 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and for almost sixty years she devoted her life and her energy to volunteering time each month in the Christian ministry that was so important to her.
Inagene was preceded in death by her parents: Roy and Bessie Dees and her loving husband, Jake Barnes.
She is survived by her four children: Darrell Barnes and his wife, Rebecca of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Roger Barnes and his wife, Linda of Abilene, Texas; James Barnes and his wife, Madalene of Bixby, Oklahoma; Paula Dickenson and her husband, Rob of Altus, Oklahoma along with thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and many friends and acquaintances.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 24th at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Bixby, Oklahoma. Graveside services will held 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 25th at the Altus City Cemetery.
