Ida M. Herrington

Ida M. (Brooks) Herrington age 85 passed away September 14, 2015 at her Tulsa, Oklahoma residence.

Ida was born July 16, 1930 in Kansas City, Kansas to Benjamin Isaac Brooks and Beatrice L. (Kirkham) Brooks. She was the youngest of seven children. Ida married Wilford Albert Herrington on September 4, 1953 in Kansas City. She attended the Christian Science Church and while raising her family, Ida was a Girl Scout Leader, a Cub Scout Leader and a Camp Fire Leader. She enjoyed sewing and square dancing. She served as a secretary to the square dance club. Ida loved being a homemaker.

Ida was preceded in death by her parents and her six siblings.

She is survived by her husband, Wilford Herrington of Tulsa, her son: Ben Herrington and his wife, Gail, her daughter Karen Keithline and her husband, Jim, her daughter, Ruth Seefeldt and her husband, Lyle, her son Ward Harrington and his wife Vicky , her daughter Gail Ray and her husband, Loren, eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren along with other family members and friends.

Memorial services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2015 at New Spring Family Church, 2907 W. 108th Place, South, Jenks, Oklahoma. Pastor Greg Ables will officiate.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Grace Hospice of Oklahoma, 6400 South Lewis, Suite 1000, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74136.
