Hyla J. VanMeveren, 52, of Okmulgee, OK, passed away Monday, January 16th, at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa.
Hyla was born in Dubois, PA on July 10, 1964, the daughter of Stella (Biven) and the late Phillip Lamar Thorn Sr.
She was a member of Jubilee Christian Center Okmulgee.
She worked as a Truck Driver and enjoyed spending time with her dog Sassy; watching TV & movies; talking with her friends and family.
Hyla is survived by her mother, Stella Thorn of Okmulgee, daughter Crystal VanMeveren of Okmulgee, son Dustin VanMeveren, and brother Phil Thorn (wife Paula).
A graveside service to commemorate Ms. VanMeveren’s life will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 26, 2017 in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Pastor Dale Litsey of the Jubilee Christian Center will officiate.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Schaudt's Funeral Service of Okmulgee.
