Howard Eugene Kennedy

Howard Eugene Kennedy age 82 passed away peacefully at Barnsdall Nursing Home in Barnsdall, Oklahoma on Friday, February 21, 2014.

Howard was born in Barnsdall on June 16, 1931 to Fred Abraham Kennedy and Ruby Jewell (Kinnett) Kennedy. He graduated from Hominy High School with the Class of 1949. Howard married Betty Johnson on December 24, 1949. He worked in the oilfield industry for sixty-two years.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, his three brothers, his loving wife, Betty who passed away on September 14, 2000.

He is survived by his son, Howard E. Kennedy and his wife, Donna, of Skiatook, Oklahoma, his daughter, Karen Carter of Hominy, Oklahoma, his son, Andy Kennedy and his wife, Amy, of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, his daughter, Cindy Eads and her husband, Wayne, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, his brother, Bill Kennedy of Monterey, California, his thirteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren along with other family members and friends.

Visitation is Monday, February 24, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma. Graveside services 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery, Hominy, Oklahoma. Reverend Andy Kennedy will officiate.
